"An inspiring and safe learning environment for your child."

Security and Safety

At Emirates British Nursery the safety of the children in our care is of paramount importance and quality health and safety standards are our hallmark.

We firmly reinforce this in the provision of a safe, secure environment for all children. The needs of children are very specific and we pride ourselves on the conversion and construction of buildings that are perfect for children. The nurseries are bright, spacious purpose built nurseries with colourful, vibrant classrooms and extensive shaded outside play areas.

An access card system is used which only allows entry to parents and nursery staff. There is a 24 hour security guard at both Mirdif and Motor City and CCTV cameras in all the nurseries that enables us to monitor everyone entering the nursery and the main areas within the nursery.

We have a complete set of Health and Safety policies and procedures. This is available to all parents and it is intended to give you comprehensive information about the nursery. This fosters best practice alongside a safe, healthy and happy environment for children, parents and staff.

Health

We have a fully equipped clinic and licensed nurse. If children become ill at nursery, they are looked after at the clinic until collected by the parent or guardian. Medical examinations are carried out on children at the time of entry to the nursery and periodically in accordance with the Department of Health Authority. The medical examination includes measurements of height and weight. Parents need to complete and sign all medical forms before their child starts the nursery.

Snack Time

We know how difficult and how important it is to ensure as parents, we provide our children with a balanced nutritious diet and a variety of snacks so that our little ones do not get bored with the same food. At Emirates British Nursery we have put together some information for your child's snack time which we do hope you will find helpful. Whilst your child is with us at nursery you will need to provide two snacks for breakfast and lunch. Please can you ensure that food is sent in appropriate containers (labelled) that will keep it warm and/or cold, as we are not able to refrigerate or heat food in the nursery.

We are more than happy if you want to use an insulated lunch box/bag with an ice pack. The children eat at 8:30am - 9:00am and 11:30am - 12:00am.
(For the afternoon activity class additional snacks are needed for 2pm and 4pm)

It is important that all dietary requirements are discussed with the nurse before your child starts at nursery and the appropriate medical form completed and returned prior to your child starting at the nursery. Please send at least 2 drinks with your child to nursery (labelled). All children have access to drinking water. Fizzy drinks are not permitted in nursery.  By teaching and encouraging healthy eating habits, we are giving your child important tools for a lifetime of healthy living, please see examples below for lunch box ideas. Certain children have allergies we do not allow nuts in your child's snack, this includes nut based foods such as peanut butter and Nutella.
